Size - About 45 lbs

History- A litter of puppies were turned into a rural shelter. Mom was an American Staffordshire Terrier and dad was another Staffordshire Terrier or a Rottweiler (nobody knew for sure). The puppies were scheduled to go to an out of state rescue however they could not get their health certificates as they tested positive for parvo. They were hospitalized and eventually got better, another rescue offered to take them but never followed through with getting them adopted, they then came to us. They loved their foster mom but were not socialized a whole lot as they had been so sick. Fast forward and they are very standoffish and weary of strangers, however once they form a bond they absolutely love, love, love their people.

Temperament- Initially- Very standoffish, shy, and weary. Piquin would not do good in a busy home with a lot of visitors. She is very happy and higher energy than her brother. Once she bonds she is a sweet goofy little lovebug.-She loves attention and playing with toys. But you do have to gain her trust, once you do she is awesome.

Energy Level- a little higher energy- she loves to play wrestle with the other dogs (she is with Jacques, Taffy, and Caeser). They wrestle, play tug, play chase, and just have fun but she would really love to have her own person to love and cuddle with on the couch.

Dogs/Cats- Good with the other dogs and cats

Housetrained- House trained perfectly using a dog door. There have been no mistakes at all. She is not crate trained.

This girl is so beautiful, compact, and fun-- she is very athletic . However, gaining her trust will take some work. She is one of those dogs that should initially be kept on leash as she bonds with her new owner. Once she bonds she is the most amazingly beautiful, happy, goofy girl ever who loves laps and kisses. She would love a family to love and call her very own who she can sprawl out on the couch with. She will make someone an amazing pet as she bonds strongly and becomes an amazing protector. Due to her fearfulness of strangers she will not be placed with young children.

Adoption fee $100 includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies vacc, collar and tags, training information, and all the support you need.
